BBC MotD pundit makes shock claim about Tottenham 21-year-old

Match of the Day pundit Alan Shearer believes Tottenham’s Harry Winks “deserves his chance” for England and should start their opening World Cup game.
In his latest column for The Sun, the England legend revealed his shock decision when coming up with his team for England’s first competitive game in the finals.
He wrote: “Harry Winks in midfield has come to the fore in recent months and deserves his chance.”
The 21-year-old had to withdraw from Gareth Southgate’s latest squad for the friendlies against Germany and Brazil due to injury concerns.
The midfielder suffered a twisted ankle in Tottenham’s last game ahead of the international break against Crystal Palace.

The Spurs star did undergo scans on the injury and fortunately no ligament damage was found.
The midfielder has featured 13 times for Tottenham across all competitions this season, and has only not been utilised in two Premier League games.
Spurs are third in the Premier League after 11 games with 23 points, eight points behind league leaders Manchester City.
After the international break, Tottenham have a crucial game against bitter rivals Arsenal on November 18.
It is unknown whether Winks will feature in the north London Derby, but Southgate revealed that he believes Winks may be risked.
Tottenham won their last league meeting with Arsenal 2-0, at the tail end of last season in May.
