‘Disgusting’, ‘Hang on a minute…’- Fans react new ‘shocking’ footage emerges from Tottenham v Aston Villa
Fans of all club are unimpressed over “shocking” footage that emerged from Aston Villa’s 2-1 win over Tottenham on Sunday afternoon (26 November).
Matty Cash slid wildly into Rodrigo Bentancur in the 27th minute, leaving the recent long-term absentee on the deck, which forced him off the pitch just five minutes later.

Footage emerged of the Uruguayan international pointing at and berating Cash when he was reciveving treatment while Ben Davies remained in conversation with referee Robert Jones.

This fan claimed Cash should have been dismissed for the “shocking” challenge.
This fan sarcastically mocked Bentancur and was amazed to see he was still alive.
One supporter was enraged at Cash and pointed to his track record of suspect challenges.
This supporter was eager to see Cash get a taste of his own medicine but also singled out the “embarrasing” standard of refereeing that kept him on the pitch.
One fan urged Bentancur to “learn ball” and suspected there was little wrong with him.
Another fan was eyeing up injured star Cristian Romero to remind Cash of the incident in their next encounter.
One supporter told Bentancur to “grow up” and reminded him that football is in fact a contact sport.
