Djed Spence, Dom Solanke react to cryptic message from Tottenham ace Lucas Bergvall
Djed Spence and Dom Solanke reacted to a message on social media from young Tottenham teammate Lucas Bergvall.
Bergvall joined Tottenham from Allsvenskan side Djurgarden for £8.5million [BBC Sport] last summer after the North London club fended off interest from Barcelona.
Despite having only turned 19 in February, the youngster is already an integral part of Spurs’s side, making 45 appearances in his maiden season under the recently-fired Ange Postecoglou.
Bergvall suffered a few embarrassing moments during his first season with Spurs, including a comical own goal against AZ Alkmaar.
However, despite his tendency to run himself into the ground, the teenager has quickly become a fan favourite in North London.
Alongside several bigger-name players last season, Bergvall stood out as one of the Premier League’s best rising talents.

Lucas Bergvall shares message to Tottenham fans
Amidst preparations for his sophomore season in North London, Bergvall shared a plethora of images of himself in training, captioned: “Time moves different”.
The post was liked by Tottenham teammates Spence and Solanke, showing their support for the young midfielder.
Lucas Bergvall to remain as starter under Thomas Frank
Football Insider Verdict
Despite a few gaffes last season, Bergvall largely impressed in a terrible Spurs side and showed he has plenty of room for growth.
A large portion of the youngster’s appearances came in the North London side’s successful Europa League campaign, and it would be no surprise to see him feature more regularly in the Premier League next term.
With Yves Bissouma looking likely to leave Tottenham this summer, the Swede is likely to remain as a starter in North London.
Bergvall offers energy and on-the-ball talent, although Spurs are likely to be in the market for a new defensive midfielder to offer some balance in the middle of the park.
However, one move that may cause the 19-year-old’s position to come under threat is Tottenham’s desire to bring Morgan Gibbs-White in from Nottingham Forest.
But that move remains purely hypothetical at the moment as the Tricky Trees seem unwilling to part with their star man, preserving Bergvall’s place in Spurs’ starting XI for the meantime.
