Dominic Calvert-Lewin could agree pre-contract after Everton twist – sources

Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is in a ‘strong position’ regarding his personal future, sources have told Football Insider.

The 27-year-old is out of contract at Goodison Park next summer and could agree a pre-contract with another club in January.

Calvert-Lewin has the potential to run down his Everton contract and explore a free transfer should he not want to re-sign with the Merseyside giants.

The England international has played for Everton since 2016 and has made 252 appearances for the club, scoring 70 goals and providing 19 assists.

Sources have told Football Insider that Calvert-Lewin will have no shortage of takers in England if he becomes a free agent.

Newcastle United are one club that are keen to sign the striker if he becomes available.
