Dominic Solanke and Lucas Bergvall react to Radu Dragusin’s Tottenham announcement
Tottenham stars Dominic Solanke and Lucas Bergvall have responded to an update posted by Radu Dragusin after his season-ending injury.
The Romanian centre-back had established himself as Spurs‘ first-choice centre-back in the absence of Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero.
Van de Ven returned from injury for Tottenham against Elfsborg in the Europa League, playing 45 minutes, but has not featured since that match as he is eased back into action.
Romero has been linked with an exit from Tottenham, and has not played since coming off injured after 15 minutes against Chelsea in a 4-3 loss on 8 December.
Both those injures gave the former Genoa centre-back a chance to stake a claim as Spurs’ future at the heart of their defence, but Dragusin suffered an ACL injury that will see him spend an extended period on the side-lines.
Radu Dragusin has ‘successful’ surgery after Tottenham ordeal
Following surgery on his injured knee, Dragusin posted a message on his Instagram to Tottenham fans, captioned: “This morning, I successfully got through the surgery, which went perfectly. I am grateful to the entire medical team for their care and professionalism. At the same time, I am thankful for all the messages of encouragement and your continuous support. It’s wonderful to feel this kind of support. I will do everything I can to ensure a smooth recovery and come back stronger as soon as possible.”

Dragusin’s teammates responded to the Romanian, with Dominic Solanke replying with the emoji of praying hands and white love heart, and Lucas Bergvall posting a love heart and a bicep emoji.
Both Solanke and Bergvall have suffered injury issues of their own this season, as manager Ange Postecoglou contends with an injury crisis at Tottenham.
Ange Postecoglou clings on to Tottenham job as key players suffer injuries
Postecoglou began the season with high-hopes, confidently claiming that he always wins a trophy in his second season at a club.
Following a fifth place finish last season, there was no reason to doubt the Australian manager, but an unprecedented injury crisis has curtailed those plans, and now Spurs are out of both domestic cups.
Whilst they can still win the Europa League, Spurs sit 14th in the Premier League and are in dreadful form, making European success look like a pipe dream right now.
Having lost multiple players, including his centre-back duo, James Maddison, Guglielmo Vicario and others to injury, Tam McManus called for Postecoglou to be put out of his misery as Tottenham manager.
