Dominic Solanke responds to heartfelt message from Tottenham ace Richarlison
Dominic Solanke responded to a touching message from Tottenham teammate Richarlison on social media.
Having made just four Premier League starts last season, and featured in just 24 games in all competitions, it’s fair to say the 2024/25 season was not the Brazilian’s finest.
Richarlison has found it difficult to settle at Tottenham since joining from Everton in a £60million [Sky Sports] deal in 2022.
In his first season, the Brazil international was often used out of position, or from the bench to accommodate Harry Kane.
And after the English striker departed for Bayern Munich, injuries became Richarlison’s next stumbling block, before Solanke’s arrival from Bournemouth relegated the ex-Watford striker to mere back-up status.
However, the 28-year-old has never downed tools and played a crucial role for Tottenham as they claimed victory in the Europa League final over Man United.

Richarlison celebrates 10 years in football
Whilst the 24/25 season was a tricky one for Richarlison, the Brazilian took to Instagram to share a post thanking fans as he celebrated the 10-year anniversary of becoming a professional footballer.
The Spurs striker said: “Today I complete 10 years in my career It seems like yesterday that the boy full of dreams came out of the Holy Spirit, came to Belo Horizonte, passed the test and began to build his story. I’m very proud of my journey and my struggle. I’d do it all over again a thousand times if I had to.”
Solanke then responded with two hands-raised emojis, showing support for his teammate.
Richarlison facing uncertain future with Everton move unlikely
Football Insider Verdict
Stefan Borson told Football Insider in May that Tottenham would listen to offers for Richarlison this summer.
However, it would seem that despite being a talented player, the Brazilian is not exactly flush with suitors right now.
Richarlison’s return to Everton has been heavily rumoured, but David Moyes himself shut that down prior to the Toffees’ win over Fulham at the end of the season.
The 28-year-old has retained his place in Brazil‘s squad and was called up for Carlo Ancelotti’s first fixtures in charge of the Selecao.
But with the World Cup in North America just a year away, the Italian manager will likely want to see Richarlison playing more regularly than he has been.
