Dominic Solanke responds to Mathys Tel’s message after confirmed Tottenham news
Dominic Solanke was among several Tottenham teammates to respond to Mathys Tel’s passionate message.
Spurs fought off strong competition to bring Tel in during the January window on a loan deal from Bayern Munich. He managed to score three goals across 20 appearances in all competitions, with just 14 of those coming as starts.
Despite some Tottenham supporters calling for Tel to be sent back to Bayern Munich, the club have continued to show faith in his long-term potential.
That belief was cemented earlier this week when it was officially confirmed that Tel has joined Spurs permanently, becoming the club’s first signing of the summer under new head coach Thomas Frank.
But even with the move now finalised, Tel’s attention appears firmly on international duty, as he shared a message expressing focus and prompting reactions from his current teammates.

Mathys Tel reacts as France reach Euro U21s quarter-finals
With Tottenham not involved in the Club World Cup, several players have headed off for international duty, including those participating in the ongoing Under-21 European Championships.
Tel has played a part in France’s journey so far, and after they secured a spot in the quarter-finals, he reacted with a post on Instagram.
He wrote: “Mission accomplished. Heading to the ¼. Thank you all for your support.”
The post was met with plenty of appreciation, with Tottenham teammates Solanke and Kevin Danso, as well as Manchester City’s new signing Rayan Cherki, among those who liked the update.
Although a senior call-up might still be some way off, Tel’s underwhelming spell at Spurs hasn’t affected his standing at youth level, where he continues to start regularly for the Under-21s.
France will now take on Denmark on Sunday (22 June), with Tel expected to go head-to-head against Newcastle striker William Osula, who has been in fine form during the tournament.
Tottenham could accept offer for Heung-Min Son after Tel deal

Following the confirmation of Tel’s permanent move to Spurs, attention has now turned to the future of one of the club’s longest-serving stars in Heung-Min Son.
Football Insider revealed Tottenham are open to accepting a “very lucrative” offer for Son, even if it goes against the wishes of new manager Thomas Frank.
Son, who turns 33 next month, managed 11 goals last season but has shown signs of decline after a decade at the top level.
With interest building from clubs in Saudi Arabia, it remains to be seen whether Spurs will receive a bid that tempts them to part ways with one of their most iconic players.
