Dominic Solanke sends message to three Tottenham players who have wowed him

Tottenham forward Dominic Solanke took to social media to send a message to the club’s goal scorers after their 3-0 Europa League win over Elfsborg on Thursday (January 30).

The 27-year-old was forced to watch on from the sidelines as Ange Postecoglu’s side secured a place in the Europa League last 16 with a home win over the Swedish club.

Solanke picked up a knee injury in training ahead of their Premier League game against Everton earlier in the season and is expected to be out until early March.

Academy stars Dane Scarlett, Damola Ajayi, and Mikey Moore starred for Tottenham, scoring in the last 20 minutes to a much-needed home win, an achievement captain Hueng-Min Son took to social media to commemorate.

The win over Elfsborg wasn’t the only piece of good news for Postecoglu, centre-back Mikey van de Ven made his return after a lenthy injury spell.

Spurs have seriously struggled with injuries so far this season, with a source exclusively telling Football Insider that is the problem, not Postecoglu.

The England international has been a fairly consistent performer since joing Spurs in the summer, starting 24 of his 29 games across all competitions, scoring 11 goals, and providing six assists in his 2248 minutes of action.

Despite Solanke’s decent form, the North London club are said to be eyeing a move for Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel, a potential deal that has left one Spurs legend ‘stunned.’

The stiker took to Instagram to congratulate the club’s young stars after the win over Elfsborg and subsequent qualifaction, saying: “Congrats on the goals boys.”

Postecoglu’s side have found some solace in cup competitions, with their last five wins coming away from the Premier League.
