Dominic Solanke reacts to major Tottenham transfer announcement

Tottenham striker Dominic Solanke has reacted to the North London club’s latest transfer announcement.

Spurs must succeed in the market this summer following the arrival of former Brentford boss Thomas Frank.

Tottenham’s new head coach is tasked with guiding the North Londoners to a significantly better Premier League season than the one they endured under Ange Postecoglou last term, while also balancing Champions League duties.

The Dane is also vying to recruit players who will suit his playing style, as he looks to implement his methods at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Solanke reacts as Tottenham confirm Kota Takai signing

Amid Frank’s efforts to build his squad, Tottenham have signed defender Kota Takai from Japanese club Kawasaki Frontale.

Spurs confirmed the 20-year-old’s signature via Instagram on Tuesday, 8 July, with a video of the 20-year-old captioned: “Welcome to Tottenham Hotspur, Kota Takai.”

Former Bournemouth striker Solanke showed his appreciation for the North London outfit’s new signing by giving the post a like.

Tottenham have already encountered a summer of change after Postecoglou was sacked in favour of Frank’s appointment.

Frank will look to guide Spurs to a strong start in the Premier League

The Australian’s dismissal was somewhat controversial after he led Spurs to Europa League glory, albeit understandable due to his side’s woeful 17th-place finish in the Premier League.

Alongside his trophy-winning exploits, Postecoglou also received credit for developing young talents such as Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray during his Tottenham tenure.

Frank’s arrival represents a change in direction in North London, but Takai’s signature displays owner Daniel Levy’s continued appetite to invest in youth.

The 20-year-old is tasked with bridging the gulf in class between the Japanese top flight and the Premier League, but he boasts potential.

Meanwhile, his defensive ability has been endorsed by the fact that he has already made four senior appearances for Japan.

Elsewhere, West Ham United have been tipped to accept a £65million bid from Spurs for Mohammed Kudus in a Tottenham News exclusive.
