Dominic Solanke’s injury history detailed after crushing Tottenham news confirmed
Dominic Solanke has shared crushing injury news on social media as the English forward’s recent history comes under scrutiny.
Thomas Frank has already confronted Dominic Solanke’s absence, but he now has confirmation of how serious the Englishman’s injury really is.
Amid rumours that Harry Kane will return to Tottenham, there may be a not-too-distant future where Solanke isn’t so heavily depended on, but that will likely only happen in the 2026 summer transfer window – if at all.
Tottenham is reportedly the most likely destination for Tottenham, and Tim Sherwood believes he knows why Kane would go back to Spurs and not more elite Premier League teams.

Dominic Solanke confirms minor surgery to fix ankle problem
Taking to Instagram to update supporters, Solanke has confirmed that he has undergone a minor surgery to repair a niggling ankle problem that he has been playing through this season.

Solanke said: “Hi everyone, quick update about my current situation.
“The last few months have been very frustrating as I’ve tried everything possible to try and push through my ankle issue before taking the option of surgery.
“None of this managed to solve the problem, so we had to go ahead with minor surgery which I underwent this morning. It was all successful so hopefully I’ll be back on the pitch in the very near future.
“Thank you for all your love and messages.”
Thomas Frank will be concerned about Solanke’s recent injury history
With Randal Kolo Muani yet to play more than 13 minutes for Tottenham since his season-long loan move in the summer, Thomas Frank will be worried about his increasing injury problems. Muani’s injury is minor, but all the same, it’s a major blow to see Solanke pick up another injury.
Last season, Solanke missed a total of 15 games, including a single match due to illness, and now looks set to exceed that number as he recovers from surgery.
Looking closer at his injuries last season, Frank will be hoping that the surgery puts an end to his injury problems, particularly with his ankle.
With 16 goals and eight assists last season, Solanke’s talent and importance to Spurs are undeniable, and, even despite their improved squad depth, he will be sorely missed.
There is little information to suggest how long he will be out, but fans will hope his promise of being “back on the pitch in the very near future” comes true.
