Bola joined the Gunners’ academy in 2010, and he made the step up into the club’s Under-23s team in the summer of 2014, but he is yet to make his senior debut.
In the first half of last season, the 19-year-old impressed in Arsenal’s youth teams, and he played 11 league and cup games.
He spent the latter half of the 2016-17 season on loan at in the East Midlands with Notts County, where he made 13 League Two appearances.
Football Insider verdict
Bola is a left-back, therefore it may come as a surprise to some Gunners fans that he is being loaned out, as it is somewhat of a problem position for their club. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has brought in Sead Kolasinac to solve the problem area, but Kieran Gibbs and Nacho Monreal failed to impress last term, so they are short of options in that area. Bola impressed during his short spell at Meadow Lane last season, and he will add to a strong defensive set up at Rovers. He will return to Arsenal a better player come next summer, after his first full season in men’s football.
In other Arsenal news, Wenger has made a stunning offer for this Premier League midfielder.
