The versatile midfielder, who can also fill into the defence, spent the first half of the season on loan at League Two side Doncaster.
He made 20 appearances for Doncaster before being recalled to Villa in January and helped them to the top of League Two.
Football Insider verdict:
Calder has been an ever-present in Villa’s Under-23s side during 2017 and his versatility would surely be a great asset to have in the first-team. However, the 21-year-old is still plying his trade and has been unable to make his first senior appearance yet for the club. He will be joining a Lincoln side that look certain to achieve promotion this season and should be able to integrate well, having proved himself at a higher level in League Two this season. Steve Bruce will be keen to develop young talents from the academy and turn them into first-team regulars. The manager will mainly be focused on achieving promotion next season and spending money on proven players looks like being the most likely formula.
