News of Wolves’ intention to hang onto Jota will undoubtedly be greeted by supporters who have been keen to see the 21-year-old stay after firing them to the top of the table and certainties for the Premier League next season.
The 21-year-old hitman has scored 12 goals in 31 games, putting him alongside Leo Bonatini as the top scorer at Molineux, and has quickly become a fans’ favourite.
Jotsa spent the previous campaign on loan at Porto where he was not quite as prolific, bagging nine in 37 outings which included appearances in the Champions League.
The Portuguese forward hasn’t netted in his past two games in the league and will hope to return to goalscoring form against Sheffield United on Saturday.
Wolves are now focused on cementing their promotion to the top-flight which had stuttered lately, particularly after the Nottingham Forest defeat.
