Rangers have confirmed striker Joe Dodoo has joined Blackpool on a season-long loan deal as Steven Gerrard clears the decks at Ibrox.
The Gers confirmed the news on their official Twitter account on Wednesday ahead of the squad returning for pre-season training on Friday.

Dodoo joined the Light Blues from Leicester City in 2016 but has only managed 27 appearances for the Gers in two years.
After falling out of favour under Pedro Caixinha, Dodoo spent the first-half of last season on loan with Charlton Athletic.
Football Insider verdict:
A move away is best for both sides after Dodoo failed to make the grade at Ibrox. The chance to get away and play regular games should help the striker win a permanent move. With Steven Gerrard massively overhauling his squad, there looked to be little hope for Dodoo to salvage his Rangers career. At only 22, Dodoo can re-establish himself somewhere and get on with the rest of his career. Despite it not working out for Dodoo in Glasgow, it was a gamble worth taking when he was signed from Leicester in 2016 but it just never happened for the striker. Failing to impress at Charlton won’t have helped his cause though and after that, the writing was on the wall for Dodoo at Rangers and it was only a case of when he left, not if. He won’t be the last to come to Scotland from a Premier League Academy and fail to impress as he struggles to adapt to the physical nature of the Scottish game.
