
Douglas Luiz to Nottingham Forest transfer details emerge including wage and length of contract
Nottingham Forest have confirmed the signing of Douglas Luiz, with key contract details now revealed.
It was exclusively revealed by Football Insider that an agreement was close between Nottingham Forest and Douglas Luiz, for the midfielder to move to the City Ground and now the Brazilian has returned to the Premier League.
Aston Villa were interested in re-signing Luiz, after just one season at Juventus following a five year spell in the Midlands.
The 27-year-old now joins a Forest side who beat Brentford 3-1 in their Premier League opener and have Europa League football to look forward to.

Luiz’s Forest deal revealed
Nottingham Forest [21 August] revealed the signing on their social media accounts confirming the news that Luiz had joined the club.
Ben Jacobs [21 August] then stated that Luiz’s move was a season-long loan with a “£25million conditional option to buy, which is easily activated.”
Luiz becomes Forest’s seventh signing of the window, and fourth in the past week, as Nuno Espirito Santo increases his squad size of the club’s return to European football.
Rennes striker Arnaud Kalimuendo signed for Forest earlier this week whilst Omari Hutchinson and James McAtee were both unveiled to the crowd before the Brentford victory.

Luiz will add further quality to Santo’s midfield, and the Brazilian has previous in playing in the Champions League and Europa Conference League with Aston Villa.
A box-to-box midfielder with creativity and eye for goal, Luiz could be a smart addition and add another dimension to the Forest side.

Forest fended off interest for Luiz, and with it Santo’s summer business looks nearly complete and ready to compete in Europe.
Santo looks to have secured the attacking personnel to be able to rotate his starting line-up’s for league and European matches.
It is now adding depth to his back four which Santo may look to prioritise before the window shuts, with only 20-year-old Jair Cunha from Botafogo a defensive addition so far.
