Drameh tipped for extended run in Leeds starting XI after 'massive boost' - pundit
Alan Hutton has tipped Leeds United teenager Cody Drameh to get a “couple of games under his belt” with Luke Ayling and Jamie Shackleton both injury doubts.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Scotland defender suggested the 19-year-old has been given a “massive boost” of confidence after making his first-team debut.
Drameh started the League Cup defeat to Arsenal and came on as a substitute in the win over Norwich City.
He replaced Jamie Shackleton at full-back as the 22-year-old limped off with an apparent muscle injury.
Shackleton has been filling in for the injured Luke Ayling in recent weeks.
Hutton, who watched on in person at Carrow Road, admitted Drameh’s displays had caught the eye.

He suggested the youngster could be in line for a run of games in the starting XI.
Discussing Drameh’s recent breakthrough, Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “It’s a massive boost for the player himself. Against Arsenal, Bielsa trusted him. I watched that game and I thought he did really well.
“He was composed on the ball, he played the ball forward when it was on. Then he has his first opportunity in the Premier League a few days later.
“That’s what he’s there for. He will be desperate to be on that pitch to prove himself. Sometimes it takes a few injuries. Ayling, when fit, played week in, week out.
“It was always difficult to get in. Sometimes you need this opportunity where there has been injuries or a loff of form for you to get a run in the team.
“Hopefully he can take this in his stride, he gets a couple of games under his belt and he goes from strength to strength. That’s his ultimate goal, to play in the first team.”
Drameh has only made two appearances for the Whites to date.
