Early Everton team news: Exciting youth trio in squad v Apollon - report
Everton are set to name a much-changed side for their final European game of the season against Apollon in Cyprus on Thursday night, according to a report.
The Liverpool Echo claims that the exciting youthful trio of Nathan Broadhead, Alex Denny and Fraser Hornby are set to be included in the squad, however they will not have the chance to play directly in front of Sam Allardyce.
It is understood that the 63-year-old will not jet out to Cyprus for only his second game in charge and will hand the reins to assistant manager Craig Shakespeare as he undergoes a medical procedure at home.
The report states that the former Leicester manager has been instructed to give game-time to James McCarthy, Sandro Ramirez and Davy Klaassen in the Europa League clash, which is effectively a dead-rubber tie being as both sides are already out of the competition.
The Echo reports that Allardyce does not want to risk any injuries to his main cast of players, especially with a huge Premier League clash on the horizon.
Everton take on Liverpool on Sunday in what is bound to be a gripping game at Anfield.
