Slaven Bilic’s side are currently preparing to face one of Carroll’s old club’s in Newcastle at St. James’ Park on Saturday afternoon with both sides looking to get their first points on the board after suffering two defeats in their first two league games.
However, Carroll, 28, has struggled with injuries over the past couple of years and has not played for West Ham competitively since an April 2-2 draw against Sunderland.
Meanwhile, attacking star Lanzini will be a welcome addition to Bilic’s side after the Argentinian suffered an injury in the summer, ruling him out of the Hammers’ first two league games.
