‘Enough already’ – Richard Keys calls for major rule change following Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest

Richard Keys has demanded a significant change after Arsenal beat Nottingham Forest 3-0 in Ange Postecoglou’s first game in charge.

Garibaldi owner Evangelos Marinakis decided enough was enough after sacking Nuno Espirito Santo as Nottingham Forest manager.

Football Insider revealed on 31 August that the new Nottingham Forest manager Postecoglou was one of the names on the list to succeed the Portuguese.

The Australian fell to a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Arsenal as star defender Murillo hobbled off with a major injury for Nottingham Forest.

Strangely, the match infuriated presenter Keys for a bizarre reason which did not involve the two teams on show at the Emirates.

Referee body cameras upset Richard Keys who sternly asks ‘what’s the point’ of them

The former Sky Sports host took to X (13 September) to express his dislike and annoyance with the brand new visual addition to the Premier League this season.

Broadcasters have been deploying “Refcams” to provide an alternative angle of goals and major moments in games.

This included Martin Zubimendi’s stunning strike to open proceedings against Forest which match official Darren England barely captured as the ball hurtled towards the goal.

Keys spoke out on his anger towards the visual enhancement to match day coverage, stating: “Please. Refcam. Enough already. What’s the point?”

Whilst the referee’s body camera could not capture the brilliance of the Spaniard’s first goal, Mikel Arteta will not be fussed by the angle as his side grabbed an assured set of three points.

The summer window seemingly brought in all of the missing cogs to bolster the Arsenal winning machine with Viktor Gyokeres, Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke all quickly showing why they were worth the huge stacks of money.

Even with injuries to Bukayo Saka and William Saliba, the Gunners have immense depth across the pitch.

In previous seasons, injury-induced absences were the main reasons for why the Spanish manager could not quite get over the line to secure a Premier League title.

Now, his side is looking more resolute and sturdy than ever, suggesting Arteta is on the cusp of finally getting his hands on that lucrative league trophy which has eluded him.

Defensively astute, solid in the midfield and converting chances that were previously wasted up front, definitely do not rule out the north London outfit this campaign.
