Enzo Fernandez has received ‘offers’ from Saudi Arabia to leave Chelsea
Enzo Fernandez is wanted by Saudi clubs and Spanish giants Real Madrid as uncertainty over his Chelsea future continues.
That is according to former Everton chief executive Keith Wyness, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, who believes Fernandez will be leaving Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
Chelsea paid over £100million to bring Fernandez to Stamford Bridge in 2023, but the midfielder has stated that he doesn’t know whether he will be at the club next season.
The 25-year-old has also questioned the club’s decision to sack manager Enzo Maresca earlier in the campaign.
Chelsea could have to sell players in the transfer window though, due to their latest club accounts, which recorded a loss of £355m.

Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes that Fernandez would move to one of the “top clubs” in Europe, if he does leave Chelsea.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, Wyness knows of Saudi interest in Fernandez, and thinks that the current environment at Chelsea is only pushing the midfielder out the door.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “Yes, I think he’s off.
“I genuinely think that Real Madrid is a potential candidate for Fernandez – it would be one of the top clubs [who sign him].
“Now, I know he’s had offers in Saudi Arabia as well, but there’s no smoke without fire in this case.
“I think it’s because of the overall situation within Chelsea right now.”
Chelsea’s transfer plans could be hit by financial blow
Having started 29 of Chelsea’s 31 Premier League games this season, Fernandez has been a key player under both Maresca and Liam Rosenior.
Replacing Fernandez will not be easy for the Blues and spending big in the transfer market may not be possible for the club this year.
Stefan Borson told Football Insider that Chelsea could miss out on £60m in revenue if they do not qualify for the Champions League this season.
Rosenior’s side currently sit sixth in the Premier League table, one point below fifth, which is expected to be the final Champions League place.
