Enzo Fernandez sends three-word message to Chelsea fans after shattering blow
Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez has taken to social media to send a message to fans ahead of their Premier League clash with Leicester on Saturday (November 23).
The 23-year-old has been benched by manager Enzo Maresca for Chelsea’s last four Premier League games, with the Italian preferring the ‘physicality’ of Romeo Lavia.
Lavia is a doubt for the game on Saturday, however, after picking up a knock in their 1-1 draw with rivals Arsenal in the previous fixture.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Maresca also confirmed that captain Reece James will be unavailable due to another hamstring injury in what is a crushing blow for player and team, meaning Fernandez could be set to take on captaincy duties once again, as he did earlier in the season.
