Enzo Fernandez sends training ground update to Chelsea fans pre-PSG showdown
Chelsea star Enzo Fernandez gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at training as the squad continue preparations to face PSG.
The Blues are set to take on Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain in the Club World Cup final on 13 July.
Chelsea previously lifted the trophy in 2022 under Thomas Tuchel, but the tournament has since been revamped by FIFA president Gianni Infantino. Under the new format, the winner will hold the world champion title for four years.
There’s also a significant financial incentive on the line, with Chelsea in line to earn around £80million if they are crowned champions.
Fernandez has played a key role under Enzo Maresca throughout the competition, and his latest update offered supporters a glimpse of the club’s preparations ahead of Sunday’s final.

Fernandez has been a pivotal for Chelsea throughout the season, forming a dominant midfield partnership with Moises Caicedo.
While his overall contribution includes seven goals and 11 assists in all competitions, his impact has been particularly felt in the Club World Cup campaign—scoring twice and providing six assists.
His growing importance hasn’t gone unnoticed. Football Insider revealed that Real Madrid have shown interest in Fernandez earlier in the season, although Chelsea are unlikely to sanction a deal for one of their most influential players.
Noni Madueke absent from training ahead of Arsenal transfer

While Fernandez was fully involved in Chelsea’s training session, one notable absentee was Noni Madueke.
Madueke is closing in on a move to Arsenal after the two clubs agreed a deal worth £52million for the 23-year-old earlier in the week.
It has since been reported that the winger has been granted permission to leave Chelsea’s USA training camp and return to London to complete the move. As a result, he is not expected to take part in the upcoming Club World Cup final [BBC Sport].
Madueke hit double figures last season with 11 goals, but it now appears his future lies in North London, with a deal close to being finalised.
