Eric Dier delivers Tottenham title verdict, reveals what is unstoppable

By Dominic Toner

Tottenham ace Eric Dier believes that his side’s belief has made them “unstoppable” in recent games as they look to win the club’s first ever Premier League title.

Spurs have emerged as a major threat to leaders Chelsea and have won their last seven consecutive league games.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have managed to trim the gap to just four points behind the Blues and now have six games remaining to overturn the deficit.

The north London club have managed to hit red-hot form and have won their last two games by 4-0 scorelines.

Dier explained that the belief among the players has helped them during their winning run and claims they will keep fighting for the title until the end.

“Our belief has made us unstoppable,” Dier said, as quoted by the Daily Mirror. “We have to believe to the end. We’ll be winning our games if possible, we’ll give everything on the pitch to win our games, then it depends on the other teams.

“But we work a lot with each other, and it’s really a team work. Because our quality is added to it, and we’re very hard to stop.”

Spurs and Chelsea will face each other in the FA Cup semi-final on Saturday, but have already played twice in the league.

Pochettino’s side can only hope to apply some pressure by winning their remaining six league games and must overcome four away fixtures in that run.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have four of their remaining games at Stamford Bridge and they are still the favourites to win the league crown.

Spurs suffered heartache last season after failing to pip unlikely champions Leicester to the crown, but Pochettino’s side are expected to win a piece of silverware in the near future.

The Argentinian boss has assembled an exciting squad at White Hart Lane and has a strong English core at the heart of his side.
