Erling Haaland reacts after Man City agree another signing
Man City forward Erling Haaland dispatched a response on social media after the club confirmed yet another new arrival this summer.
Pep Guardiola’s side have been active in the transfer market, already spending close to £115 million on additions as Man City have signed Rayan Cherki, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Tijjani Reijnders and Marcus Bettinelli.
All four signings were secured in time to join the squad for the Club World Cup, although their campaign ended in disappointment after Man City’s early defeat to Al-Hilal in the round of 16.
Despite that setback, and with several departures expected before the window closes, the club have continued to strengthen their squad, fending off competition from a number of top clubs to secure their latest signing.

Haaland welcomes Sverre Nypan after Man City confirm latest summer signing
Man City announced on 17 July that they have completed the signing of Norwegian teenager Sverre Nypan from Rosenborg.
Haaland responded to the news by reposting the announcement on his Instagram story, writing: “Welcome Sverre!!” and also liking the original post.
Nypan had previously been linked with Arsenal and Aston Villa during the winter window, but City entered the race and have now secured his signature.
The 18-year-old has enjoyed a rapid rise, making his senior debut for Rosenborg at just 15 years old. Since then, he’s made 70 first-team appearances, scoring 14 goals and providing 11 assists. Nypan has also represented Norway at every youth level from Under-15s through to the Under-21s.
Reports suggest Nypan could be loaned out immediately, with Girona, who are part of the City Football Group, emerging as a likely destination.

Man City target Tino Livramento as Kyle Walker replacement
While Manchester City have already completed five signings this summer, a right-back remains a potential position to consider following Kyle Walker’s move to Burnley earlier in the window.
Football Insider revealed that Man City could accelerate their pursuit of Newcastle United’s Tino Livramento.
Although City have held a long-standing interest in the full-back, Newcastle are keen to keep hold of Livramento, with Eddie Howe reportedly determined not to lose one of his standout young players.
The Magpies have already refused to sell Alexander Isak despite interest from Liverpool, and it remains to be seen whether they will adopt the same stance with Livramento.
