Everton and Nottingham Forest to unite in joint protest – ex-PL CEO
Ex-CEO Keith Wyness believes Everton and Nottingham Forest fans will “unite” this weekend to protest against the “chaos” of their points deductions.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – predicted that there will be “protests and boos” at Goodison Park.
Everton and Forest are set to go head-to-head in the Premier League this Sunday (19 April) in a match which could have huge ramifications at the bottom of the table.
The two clubs sit narrowly outside of the relegation zone in 16th and 17th respectively with five games remaining this season.
Both Everton and Forest are also in the process of appealing points deductions after they were charged with breaching Profit and Sustainability Rules in their 2022-23 accounts.
Nottingham Forest and Everton fans to “unite” against Premier League
Wyness has told Football Insider’s Inside Track Podcast that fans can come together this weekend to try and protest against the “chaos” both clubs have suffered this season.
“I think there will be unity between Everton and Nottingham Forest in their game against each other,” He said.
“There will be an anti-Premier League banner, a protest and boos for the anthem and that will be seen on national TV.
“The Premier League don’t like it but it is the way that fans feel.

“There is a lot of sympathy for the fans as their club has had points taken off for reasons outside of the pitch.
“There has got to be a way for fans to get around this and stop the chaos that we have seen this year.“
