Betting update: Everton odds tumble for summer deal with West Ham star
By Russell Edge
Everton’s odds of signing of West Ham defender Winston Reid have tumbled again, and they’re now seen as even money to sign the senior defender.
Bet Victor have priced the Toffees at just 1/1 to sign the 28-year-old centre-back before the end of the summer transfer window at the start of September.
This signals a big cut in odds, with Bet Victor pricing the Merseyside club at 2/1 just days ago.
The cut signals that Ronald Koeman’s side are firm favourites to sign the New Zealand international, with odds of 4/1 offered on Arsenal, and Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham all priced at 6/1.
Reid, who joined the Hammers from Danish side FC Midtjylland back in 2010, has gone on to become a mainstay at the heart of the London club’s defence.

In his seven seasons with the club, the 28-year-old has gone on to make 202 appearances across all competitions, scoring ten goals.
This season has seen him continue in his role as a key player in the spine of the West Ham side, having made 35 appearances in both domestic and European competitions.
A no-nonsense, committed defender, Reid is contracted at the London Stadium until 2021, which means any suitors will have to pay top dollar for the proven Premier League centre-back.
Everton will certainly be in the market for a centre-back this summer, with Ashley Williams and Phil Jagielka both reaching the latter end of their careers.
The other options at the back for the Toffees are Ramiro Funes Mori, Mason Holgate and Matthew Pennington.
In other Everton news, Football Insider gave a pair of Toffees 3/10 for their performances against Swansea.
