Everton fans fume as new Adam Aznou message sent after David Moyes snub – ‘Truly shocking’
Everton fans have aired their grievances with the way David Moyes has treated Adam Aznou after a new message was sent to him online.
Aznou has struggled for game time at Everton since joining from Bayern Munich last summer, despite their lack of depth at left-back.
Moyes only handed one appearance to the 19-year-old in his debut season at the club, as he impressed in an FA Cup cameo against Sunderland in January.
Many Toffees fans urged their manager to give Aznou more minutes after his strong cup showing, but he only made the bench once in their last eight games of the campaign.
He will have to wait until pre-season for his next Everton appearance, and fans have fumed once more at Moyes following a new social media post.

Everton have taken to rarely mentioning the Moroccan international on social media in recent months, likely to avoid outrage from supporters in the replies.
They clearly felt compelled to post about him on X for only the third time since January earlier this week by sending a birthday message to Aznou after he turned 20-years-old on Tuesday.
Many fans took the opportunity to fume about how badly they feel he has been treated by Moyes in the replies, as one said: “Recognising the boy exists now are we? Should have been seeing him far more from the bench than we did. Hopefully next season he has a big part to play.”

Tell the gaffer to play him more. He showed talent in his few stints and while he was in Spain.

What has Moyes publicly said about Aznou in 2026?
Sources have revealed to Football Insider that Everton are interested in Neco Williams as Moyes looks to bolster his full-back depth ahead of next season.
The Forest star has regularly featured at left-back in the last two seasons and would surely push Aznou down the pecking order if he arrived.
Even if Williams does not join, it is clear that Moyes does not fancy Aznou and could well allow him to leave this summer.
He spoke about Aznou potentially leaving the club in January, saying: “I’m not sure that he would get the opportunities in the position we bought him to play, so I need to think how I can do it.
“At the moment we’re not really mad to let too many people go because our squad isn’t big enough. But sometimes players want to go and play and I’m all for that if that’s the case.”
Moyes went on to insinuate later on in the season that the youngster, alongside Tyler Dibling, had not been doing enough in training to force his way into the team.
The Scottish boss said: “We’re keeping our ambition, to see if we can make Europe and I want to play the players who have the best chance of getting those results. They need to improve.”
