'Bit late', 'We demand more' - Everton fans react after shock Allardyce announcement
Everton manager Sam Allardyce has been named as one of the nominees for April’s Premier League Manager of the Month and Toffees fans have been having their say on Twitter.
Big Sam has been widely criticised by supporters of the club who are unhappy with the style of play they are witnessing at Goodison Park and expect more from their side after the vast sums of money that have been spent on improving the side.
However, two wins against Huddersfield and Newcastle and two draws with Liverpool and Swansea have pushed the 63-year-old into the running for the award along with Pep Guardiola, Darren Moore, Jose Mourinho and Roy Hodgson.
But that doesn’t seem to have been enough to impress supporters and no matter what he does, seemingly can do nothing to turn around the opinions of the Blues faithful about the former England boss.
Big Sam took over from Ronald Koeman in October after the Dutch manager was sacked following a string of poor results which left the club fearful of relegation.
April’s form has seen the Toffees rise to eighth in the table. Nonetheless, supporters still want Allardyce out.

Here is what Blues fans had to say on the social media platform after hearing the announcement:
The entire world demands we be happy with our lot. All we supporters have is each other to change the narrative. We demand more! #allardyceout

In the month of April we have won 2 and have drawn 2. We scored a grand total of 4 goals in 4 games. One of those games we didn’t score at all. One game that we won we had one goal, with our ONLY shot on target.

He can be manager of as many months as he likes, as long as he isn't also manager of Everton.
