‘El tornado’ – Everton fans delighted at early team news for clash v Swansea

Everton fans were celebrating the potential return of Yannick Bolasie to the first-team squad for their clash with Swansea City on Monday.

In an interview with The Times, Sam Allardyce revealed that the winger could make the bench for Monday’s game after he played for the first time in over a year last Monday.

Bolasie made a 30 minute cameo against Leicester City for Everton’s Under-23s, which brought him closer to first-team action.

The winger has been out injured since last December after sustaining a serious knee injury only 15 games into his Toffees career.

Despite Bolasie’s limited appearances since his £25million move from Crystal Palace, fans were excited to have him back with the first team.

One fan said he would walk into the current Everton team and another revealed that they were looking forward to seeing him in Monday’s game.

Here are the best tweets from jubilant Everton fans over the potential return of Bolasie:

The Toffees go into the game with Swansea, unbeaten in their last five across all competitions.

The recent improvement in form has seen Everton move into the top half of the table, and a win on Monday would see them go above Watford into ninth.

Swansea City go into the game sat bottom of the league, having lost their league game 4-0 to Manchester City.
