Everton fans react on Twitter to report attacker deal is close to completion

Everton are set to offer youngster Dominic Calvert-Lewin a new contract – and the club’s supporters are divided on Twitter about the reported decision.
The Liverpool Echo claim that the Toffees will hand the 20-year-old an improved five-year deal as a reward for his performances this season.
The report details that the attacker is closing in on the new long-term contract after breaking into the first team.
Calvert-Lewin completed a deadline-day move to Goodison Park last summer for £1.5million and has managed to force his way into Ronald Koeman’s side.
However, Everton fans have mixed responses to the reported attackers news as some feel he is worthy of an improved contract, while others feel he is yet to merit it.

Don't mean to be harsh as he's only a kid , but seen nothing at all from Calvert lewin to tell me he's good enough .

Made up Calvert-Lewin has signed a new contract. He's another young, sensible footballer who also isn't Kevin Mirallas. More of this please.

I trust koeman he sees something in Calvert-Lewin so he deserves a bit of time before I judge him

Calvert-lewin wouldn't be getting a 5 year deal from the people that matter at #EFC if they didn't think he can be a quality PL striker.

Will give Calvert-Lewin a chance but he hasn't impressed me thus far. I know he's out of position but he's not gonna get a game up front.

has come so far since i watched him for @ntfc but yet some of our fans still like to stick the boot in. Think a run at CF would be great

Everton boss Koeman has been keen to introduce youngsters to his squad this season and 18-year-old Tom Davies has been a standout feature so far.
Meanwhile, Calvert-Lewin is another beneficiary as he has made 11 senior appearances across all competitions this campaign.
The England Under-20 international has scored once for the senior side and has regularly been used in a wide position, despite preferring to play in a central role.
He has done enough to earn a new contract and has become a regular feature in the Merseyside club’s Premier League matches.
In other Everton transfer news, they have opened talks to secure the deal of an assist and goal machine.
