Everton defender Ashley Williams scored a dramatic late winner against Arsenal on Tuesday night – and the club’s supporters were thrilled on Twitter with his performance.
The 32-year-old endured a mixed game in the 2-1 victory over the Gunners, with Alexis Sanchez’ free-kick deflecting off him to hand Arsenal the opening goal.
Seamus Coleman equalised before half-time and Williams made up for his mistake with an 86th minute winner.
The centre-back showed the desire to meet the ball from a corner and headed home his first goal for the club.
The Toffees moved up seventh-placed in the Premier League table with the three points and manager Ronald Koeman will be targeting a European spot.
Everton fans were delighted with Williams’ first goal in an Everton shirt and believe he has a big future at the club.

Williams will be desperate to show the kind of form that has made him one of the Premier League’s most consistent performers in recent seasons.
The Wales international was very consistent at his former club Swansea and was purchased in the summer to improve a struggling Everton defence.
He is yet to show his best form for the Merseyside club, but proved against Arsenal that he his a top centre-back and will be ready to go for the rival match with Liverpool next Monday.
Williams is likely to partner Ramiro Funes Mori against Liverpool after Phil Jagielka received a late red card against Arsenal.
