Everton fans react on Twitter to Davies display v Manchester City

Everton fans were ecstatic with academy product Tom Davies on Twitter after his wonderful performance against Manchester City on Sunday.

The 18-year-old midfielder starred for the Toffees in the middle of the park as his raw talent was crucial to Everton’s superb 4-0 win at Goodison Park against Pep Guardiola’s side.

Setting the first goal up by sliding Kevin Mirallas in who squared to Romelu Lukaku, Davies then cleared a Bacary Sagna header off the line before chipping Claudio Bravo to score his first goal for the club and Everton’s third on the day.

Another example of the Toffees superb youth academy, Davies kept new £24million signing Morgan Schneiderlin on the bench as he started alongside veteran Gareth Barry.

Everton fans were delighted on Twitter with their young midfielder, with many claiming that he that the Toffees have a special player on their hands.
