Everton fans have taken to Twitter to react to Gerard Deulofeu’s first goal for AC Milan since securing a loan deal at the San Siro in January.

The Spaniard scored a stunning goal which proved to be the winner in a 2-1 victory over Fiorentina in Serie A on Sunday.

Deulofeu left Goodison Park in January on a half-season loan, after failing to produce for Ronald Koeman in the first half of the season.

After the goal, it seems that most fans want to see him return to Everton at the end of the season, and fans are hoping that his time in Italy will see him return as a stronger player who can finally live up to his promise.

However, he hasn’t won over all Everton fans. One said that he is not a Koeman type of player and another said that they should cash in on him before it’s too late.

Here is selection of their tweets:

Deulofeu only made 13 appearances for Everton in all competitions this season, which prompted his January move to Italy.

He made 62 appearances for Everton in the previous two seasons scoring four goals and picking up 13 assists in all competitions last year.

With limited game time under Ronald Koeman, and despite a very promising pre-season, Deulofeu had set up just one goal for Everton this season, in the 2-1 loss to Leicester in the FA Cup.

In other Everton news, Yakubu believe this player is the signing of the season.
