Everton put on a fine display in the Premier League on Saturday and beat Brighton 2-0.
It was a performance similar to the one they put on only a week earlier where in the first half against Burnley it looked for all the world as though they would take all three points.
This time they went on to finish the job in the second half, to the relief of their fans.
A Gaetan Bong own goal in the 60th minute was added to by Cenk Tosun 15 minutes later who scored his second in as many games, firing in off the underside of the bar.
It wasn’t all good for the Toffees as the Blues faithful were unhappy with the display of Tom Davies, who was a ‘passenger’ as one supporter put it.
After shooting to notoriety last season, he was confirmed as the most promising player in England under the age 20 after a report from the CIES Football Observatory.

But the youngster has been nowhere near his best this season and if the reactions from supporters are anything to go by, it might be about time for Sam Allardyce to give the player a rest.
