Everton idol issues Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah quit claim after ‘special’ reveal
One of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah will not sign a new contract with Liverpool, according to Kevin Campbell.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Arsenal and Everton striker claimed Liverpool brought Luis Diaz in during the January transfer window with a view that Mane or Salah could leave.
Both players are out of contract in the summer of 2023 and, as quoted by BBC Sport on Thursday (26 May), Salah, 29, confirmed he will be at Anfield next season “for sure”.

As quoted by the Guardian on the same day, Mane, 30, refused to be drawn on his future but claimed he will reveal his “special” answer to the speculation after Saturday’s Champions League final with Real Madrid (28 May).
“I think one of them could possibly leave, I’m not sure which one,” Campbell told Football Insider assistant editor Dylan Childs.
“That’s why Diaz was brought in, I suppose, to replace.
“Mane has come in big, the back end of this season, playing as a striker.
“If you lose either one then they won’t be as strong, trust me. Although Diaz is a good player, we’re talking about a lot of goals.
“Both of those players have scored over 100 goals for Liverpool. To lose one of them, Diaz will have to have a season and a half, next season.
“Maybe the goals for Diaz will come.”

While Diaz’s performances for Liverpool have earned plaudits he has only scored six goals and provided five assists in 25 games across all competitions.
The 25-year-old moved from FC Porto in the winter window and signed a five-and-a-half-year deal with the Reds.
