Everton star delivers brutally honest verdict on current form
By Emma Sanders
Everton striker Romelu Lukaku says his team need to talk to each other and address their lack of form which “cannot continue.”
The Blues suffered yet another disappointing defeat on Saturday and a brace from Lukaku was not enough as Watford recorded a 3-2 win at Vicarage Road.
They have now lost three of their last five games and have not recorded a victory for over a month since the 2-0 win over West Ham in October.
Lukaku’s form has dipped in recent weeks too but he bounced back to get his name on the score-sheet against Watford.
However, the brace was still not enough and the striker admitted his side must show more “maturity” in their upcoming fixtures.

“We need to talk as a group – we can’t continue like that. We need to show a bit more maturity and be honest with each other as well,” said Lukaku, as reported by the Liverpool Echo.
“The run we’re in is not good. We need to work harder and be focused. We need the fans at Goodison as well and we need to get them back onside.”
Everton mounted a late comeback against Watford but a slow start to the game proved too costly in the end and they now face tough fixtures against Liverpool in Arsenal before the new year.
They currently sit in ninth position but are now four points off Manchester United in sixth place and look firmly out of the race for a Champions League spot.
Lukaku’s two goals against Watford were his first since the victory over West Ham and he failed to net in his previous four matches ahead of the clash at Vicarage Road.
