Everton will rocket into ‘top ten’ next year – Keith Wyness

Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness has insisted the club’s new stadium will rocket them back into the “top ten” for commercial revenue in England.

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – claimed the club “have a rosy future” if they can remain in the Premier League for the 2025-26 campaign.

Wyness has previously told Football Insider that Everton’s new stadium will instantly bring in more than £60million in annual revenue.

The Toffees’ new state-of-the-art stadium will hold 52,888 fans and is set to open in 2025 after construction started three years ago.

The club posted commercial revenue of £39million for the 2022-23 campaign, down from £50million (23%) a season earlier.

Everton will bank ‘top ten’ revenue thanks to £60m stadium influx, says Wyness

Wyness told Football Insider‘s Insider Track podcast: “The new stadium will bring Everton back into the top ten for commercial revenue in the Premier League.

“It was never going to catapult us up to the top level, but what it does do is stop us dropping any further back.

“At Goodison, that was happening.

“It’s a huge positive and the £60m number can only increase from here.

“The future looks great if we can stay in the Premier League and kick on with a new ownership situation settled.
