Brendan Rodgers has lauded the money men at Celtic Park as he was able to make three signings in the last days of the transfer window.
The Dundee duo of Scott Bain and Jack Hendry and Chelsea’s Charly Musonda all joined the Hoops recently, joining earlier signings Marvin Compper and Lewis Morgan.
Rodgers was delighted with the business done in January, which also saw none of the Hoops’ major players leave the club despite plenty of speculation.
“Today I have to say a big thank you to Dermot Desmond, Peter Lawwell and the board at Celtic” Rodgers said, as quoted on Celtic’s official Twitter account.
“January was going to be an important month for us and everything I asked for I was able to get.”

Rodgers will hope that the new additions will make an impact in the second-half of the season. Musonda has already made his debut against Hearts, whilst Bain and Hendry could well be in the squad for the game against Kilmarnock on Saturday.
It is important to add that the three new arrivals are all eligible to play against Zenit in the Europa League last 32 tie.
The Hoops go into the game against Kilmarnock with an 11 point lead over Aberdeen in the Scottsih Premierhip table.
Their most recent match saw the Bhoys gain a measure of revenge on Hearts by defeating them 3-1 at Celtic Park.
Goals from Odsonne Edouard, Dedryck Boyata and Moussa Demeble saw the Hoops make amends for the 4-0 defeat they suffered to the Edinburgh side in December.
