Ex-striker: Arsenal are finally doing the right thing as another summer exit confirmed
Frank McAvennie claims Arsenal are doing the right thing by letting several stars leave The Emirates this summer.
The former West Ham striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, reacted as another senior ace left the club.
Arsenal confirmed on Tuesday (6th July) that the centre-midfielder has joined Marseille on loan for next season.
This came after Football Insider revealed on 5th July that the loan deal includes an obligation-to-buy for £12million if Guendouzi plays a certain amount of games.
His last appearance for Arsenal came in June 2020’s Premier League clash against Brighton.
He was excluded from first team training and matchday squads after clashing with several Seagulls players after the game.

David Luiz and Mat Ryan have also left the club as Mikel Arteta prepares to revamp his side.
McAvennie claims this is the right approach from the Gunners.
“Yeah, they needed to get as many out as possible,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“They were a mess last season and the only fix was massive change. They could have got rid of Arteta but those players would still be there.
“Finally, Arsenal are doing the right thing by keeping players like Kieran Tierney while getting rid of the players who aren’t pulling their weight.
“They need a big season next year. They can’t have another season without Europe.
“I think if they keep those young players, the players who will try, that’s the thing to do.”
Guendouzi made a total of 82 appearances for the Gunners during three years at the club.
He spent last season on loan at Hertha Berlin where he contributed two goals and three assists in 24 appearances.
