‘Worst decision you’ll make in your career’ – Wolves fans react to Rob Edwards deal

Wolves have appointed their new manager during the international break, in a bid to make an incredible escape from Premier League relegation.

Vitor Pereira was sacked as Wolves manager following a 3-0 defeat for the club at Fulham, which leaves them rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table.

Wolves supporters turned on Pereira, with the club having amassed just two points from 11 Premier League games so far.

The Old Gold are eight points off safety, with a home match against Crystal Palace the first assignment for the new manager after the international break.

Rob Edwards appointed new Wolves manager

Middlesborough boss Rob Edwards was linked with a return to Wolves, a club he played for during his playing career.

Edwards has now decided to jump from the Championship club to the struggling Premier League side, with fans welcoming the 42-year-old back to Molineux.

Time to win Championship,” a fan said with relegation from the Premier League looking likely this season.

A supporter said: “Best of luck! Will need it all and then some. Welcome to Wolves.”

Welcome back Rob! Hell of a task ahead but wish you well, and looking forward to getting behind you and the team. Let’s rebuild,” another posted on social media.

12 points Rob. That’s all we’re asking for,” one fan commented, as Wolves wish not to become the Premier League side with the lowest ever points tally.

Worst decision you’ll make in your career working for these clowns,” one fan posted.

Whilst another supporter said: “Hopefully he brings the difference needed.”

Edwards faces mammoth task at Wolves

Wolves have lost their last five games in all competitions, so Edwards inherits a squad low on confidence upon his arrival.

The international break will give Edwards some time to plan and prepare his squad for his first game in charge against Crystal Palace.

Edwards will then lead Wolves against Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest before a busy festive period begins.
