Reading Connor Goldson comments on the gaffer and his influence on bringing him to club. Get used to that. One of the best footballers of his generation will appeal to a lot of players as their manager. #RFC

If Connor Goldson is half as good as Brighton fans are saying he is we should enjoy every moment we can whilst he’s here

Goldson follows Katic, Ovie Ejaria, Jamie Murphy, Allan McGregor and Scott Arfield as summer signings at Ibrox as Gerrard build his squad.
Goldson started his career with Shrewsbury Town, playing in both League Two and League One for them before signing for then-Championship Brighton in the summer of 2015.
At Brighton, Goldson was a regular in the side which almost won promotion to the Premier League before having to undergo major heart surgery.
While Goldson was out, the Seagulls won promotion and Goldson finally made his return to action in December last year.
The defender appeared in the final day clash with Liverpool for Brighton and will now report for pre-season with his new team-mates on Friday.
In other Rangers transfer news, they are leading the hunt to sign an in-demand attacker from Liverpool.
