
Exclusive: AC Milan & Napoli ready Chris Wood moves after Nottingham Forest news
AC Milan and Napoli are among the sides monitoring Chris Wood’s contract talks at Nottingham Forest, sources have told Football Insider.
Forest remain in discussions with the 33-year-old over a contract extension, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.
It is believed Saudi Pro League clubs are also keeping tabs on Wood’s situation.
The New Zealand international, as it stands, can agree a pre-contract with foreign sides from Wednesday (1 January).
Wood’s stock has risen with his incredible scoring record so far in the 2024-25 campaign for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
The ex-Newcastle forward has hit 11 goals and notched one assist in 19 Premier League games for Forest this term.

He has also been in good form on the international stage this year, scoring two goals in four international appearances in 2024.
Wood joined Forest on an initial loan in January 2023 which later became a reported £15million permanent switch.
He hit 15 goals in 35 appearances across all competitions for the Midlands club last term as they preserved their Premier League status.

Wood, who has also played for West Brom, Leicester, Burnley and Newcastle in the English top-flight, has contributed to 46% of their league goals this term.
