Michael Brown is adamant that Leeds United target Harry Wilson will be a Premier League player next season.
The former Leeds midfielder, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, revealed a friend of his who works in football has echoed his view on the Liverpool star.
A report in The Sun claims the Whites are eyeing up a £15million move for Liverpool winger Harry Wilson – but face competition from Aston Villa and Newcastle United.
Wilson was in fine-form during his loan spell with Bournemouth last term, finishing the season as the Cherries’ second top scorer.
And Brown believes he is only heading in the “right direction”, despite being unable to halt the Cherries’ slide into the Championship.
“I had this discussion with someone at the weekend and we were talking about where he would end up,” Brown told Football Insider.
“Will he be in the Championship on loan again or will he move? The answer someone said to me straight away is ‘he will be in the Premier League.’
“He’s a respected guy in football and he firmly believes that Harry Wilson will be in the Premier League next year.
“There will be plenty of clubs looking at him and he’s got great ability. He’s still learning as well but he’s only going in the right direction, that’s for sure.”
The 23-year-old has returned to Anfield after a season’s loan on the South Coast but faces a fight to break into Jurgen Klopp’s title-winning side.
The Cherries have confirmed the appointment of Jason Tindall, after Football Insider had broke the news on Friday.
Wilson worked with the former assistant coach last season, but it seems unlikely he would be willing to join him in the Championship after such a successful campaign.
