Alex Bruce believes that Bayern Munich youngster Taylor Booth could become the next big thing if he joins Tottenham this summer.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, the former Premier League defender was left raving over the Lilywhites for their impressive record of developing young talent into first-team talents.

As revealed by Football Insider, Tottenham have tabled a contract offer for the midfielder – who celebrated his 19th birthday on Sunday – as they look to prise him away from the German giants.

Having seen a host of youth prospects make their name in the senior side in north London, Bruce believes Tottenham will be an attractive move for any up and coming player.

Asked if Spurs have an advantage when it comes to tempting young talent to the club, Bruce told Football Insider: “Yeah, of course, everybody likes an exciting youngster and one for the future, I’m sure that’s what he will be, signing a 19-year-old.

“There’s nothing better than signing a young player and seeing them progress into a first-team regular – that’s what they’ll be hoping to do.

“You can go back, they’ve always seemed to bring through good, young players and obviously with the facilities and the training ground that they have, I expect many more of those to come over the years.”

Booth has not played for Bayern’s senior side yet, though he has been a regular for the German giants’ under-19s this season.

He proved his talent to Spurs back in December when he contributed two assists in a 3-0 UEFA Youth League win over the Lilywhites.

In other Tottenham news, a former Spurs star has been left in awe as the club work on a £19million deal.
