Everton defender Gethin Jones has emerged as a target for Bundesliga club Stuttgart and Turksih outfit Bursaspor, Football Insider sources understand.
Jones has come through the ranks at Everton and is highly-regarded within in the corridors of power at Goodison Park.
The full-back has been a regular for Everton’s Under-23s side, but he has only played one minute of first-team football in a Europa League clash against Krasnodar in December 2014.
Jones has seen his path into the first-team blocked by Seamus Coleman and Mason Holgate and the summer arrival of Cuco Martina on a free transfer from Southampton has pushed him further down the pecking order.
The right-back was handed a new one-year deal by Everton earlier this summer as his previous deal was due to expire at the end of June.
The 21-year-old impressed on loan in the Championship last season with Barnsley making 17 appearances and his performances brought him to the attention of a number of clubs and helped him win a call-up to the Wales senior squad.
Despite being born in Australia, Jones has represented and captained Wales at Under-16, Under-17, Under-18 and Under-21 levels and he is the understudy to Chris Gunter in the Wales senior team.
With his first-team chances limited set to be limited this season Everton could consider selling Jones and the news has alerted German side Stuttgart and Turkish outfit Bursaspor and they are weighing up moves for the full-back before the close of the transfer window.
In other Everton news, the Toffees are in a race with Tottenham and Manchester United for this Championship teenager.
