Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers may look to replace veteran defender Wes Morgan with Celtic star Kristoffer Ajer this summer, according to Alex Bruce.
The former Leeds and Kilmarnock centre-back, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, claims the ex-Bhoys boss could raid his old side for the 6ft in centre-back to fill the boots of the Foxes’ captain.
Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, who writes for Gazetta dello Sport and Il Giornal, claims on his personal Twitter account that talks are underway over Ajer, 22 leaving Parkhead, with Leicester, Arsenal and AC Milan in the hunt.

Bruce believes a new centre-back will be a priority for Rodgers this summer and that his former favourite at Celtic would be a worthy replacement for Premie League winner Morgan.
Asked if it would be an ideal move for Ajer and Rodgers, Bruce told Football Insider: “I think it would be. Wes Morgan’s been a great servant for Leicester but unfortunately, he’s not getting any younger so they’re going to have to start looking for a couple of people to strengthen at Leicester.
“They’ve only really got Jonny Evans and the lad Soyuncu and obviously Wes Morgan. They might need to bring a couple of centre-halves to bolster the squad and I think Ajer is a very decent player.
“One that Brendan will obviously know all about him so yeah, one that would fit the bill.”
Ajer has played under Rodgers more than any other manager during his career, turning out 66 times for the Northern Irish boss.
This season has seen him make 49 appearances across all competitions already, scoring four goals.
