Exclusive: Fulham decide to sell Adama Traore in January
Fulham plan to sell Adama Traore next month rather than risk allowing him to leave for free next summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The winger, 29, who is entering the final six months of his contract at Craven Cottage, has started just one Premier League game this term.
Traore does not figure in Marco Silva’s long-term plans, and Fulham would prefer to cash in on him in January rather than lose him for nothing next summer.
Football Insider exclusively revealed last week that Wolves are interested in re-signing Traore, and a deal could now be possible this winter, with the Cottagers keen to try and move him on.

Wolves will need to alter Adama Traore stance to strike Fulham deal
Fulham are expected to consider cut-price offers for Traore in January, given his current contract situation, and Wolves are well-placed to exploit their desire to sell.
However, that will require the Premier League’s bottom club to alter their stance towards the wideman slightly ahead of the opening of the window.
Rob Edwards’ side had been keen to bring the ex-Barcelona star back to Molineux on an initial loan deal, with the view to it then becoming a permanent deal in the summer.
Fulham’s desire to secure cash for the outgoing star this winter may force them into changing that stance and opening up an immediate permanent agreement.

Traore made over 150 appearances for Wolves during a five-year spell between 2018 and 2023, and he could now be set to return to his former club, with both parties seemingly now keen to do a deal.
Fulham determined to keep Harry Wilson as contract ticks down
Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown recently told Football Insider that Fulham are determined to keep Harry Wilson in January, despite his contract situation posing a concern.
The Wales international is another Cottagers star who could leave for free next summer, and a number of clubs in the Premier League are believed to be monitoring his situation.
Wilson has eight goal contributions from just 15 league games this season, a tally which cannot be bettered by any other player in Silva’s squad.
The 28-year-old could potentially walk away from the West London outfit on a free transfer in the summer, but the club still seem intent on avoiding a January sale at all costs.
