Roberts is yet to make a senior appearance for Birmingham but has been a regular fixture of the club’s Under-23s over the past two seasons.
In the 2019/20 campaign, the left-footed centre-half made 18 league and cup appearances for the Blues youth side.
The young defender is held in high regard by the club, and put pen to paper on a new two-year deal last July.
Birmingham City signed the local lad in 2011 after he was scouted playing Sunday league football, signing his first professional contract eight years later.
In Harrogate Town, Roberts will be joining a club playing their first ever season in the Football League.
Harrogate boss Simon Weaver has already bolstered his squad with the additions of striker Josh March and midfielder William Hondermack this month.
