Exclusive: In-demand Wolves striker set for late move as Nuno green lights temp exit

Highly-rated Wolves striker Benny Ashley-Seal is set to go out on loan to the Football League before Friday’s transfer deadline, Football Insider understands.

The 21-year-old made his first-team debut earlier this season in the League Cup against Aston Villa and he was handed his first senior start in the FA Cup clash with Manchester United earlier this month.

A source at Molineux has told Football Insider that manager Nuno Espirito Santo has now given the green light for the promising forward to leave the club on loan for the rest of the season in a bid to get him more senior game time.

It is understood a number of Football League clubs have expressed an interest in taking the forward on a temporary basis and Wolves are now weighing up where they feel he would be best suited to move to.

The Midlands outfit feel the former Norwich youngster needs to play more and that gaining valuable first-team experience will help him challenge for a regular spot in Nuno Espirito Santo’s side next season.

The powerful forward is a prolific goalcorer for Wolves and he has netted eight goals in 13 games for Wolves’ U23 side this term.

The centre-forward has also been named on the bench for six Premier League games so far this season, most recently in the 2-1 defeat to Liverpool at Molineux.

Ashley-Seal has the likes of Raul Jimenez, Pedro Neto and Diogo Jota ahead of him in the pecking order under Nuno.
