Exclusive: Kevin Phillips makes big Nuno reveal amid 'Huge' potential Wolves blow
Kevin Phillips fears a player exodus at Wolves if Nuno Espirito Santo rejects a new contract this year.
The 2000 European Golden Shoe winner, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, claimed the 46-year-old has a Klopp-like relationship with his players and suggested that their future is very dependant on his.
The Wanderers manager is into the last 12 months of his current contract but the Mirror report that a two year extension is close to being agreed.
The West Midlands club have undergone a transformation both on and off the field since his arrival and are on course for their highest ever Premier League finish.
Phillips saw first hand from his time in the dugout at Derby County just how close Nuno is with his squad.
“If he was to leave that football club it would be a huge blow because he has done great things there,” he told Football Insider.

“The players, from what I can see, enjoy playing for him. I saw it in the Championship when I was at Derby with Neves and Jota.
“You can just tell when players enjoy playing for a manager and Nuno seems to have a relationship with his players like Klopp.
“If nothing got sorted and he was to move it would have a knock-on effect. That is only natural so it is crucial that they tie him down.”
